Projects

Since1992, Rromani Baxt Albania was involved in the following projects:

1. European Commission
Publication and distribution of a Rromani language and literature book in 1994.

2. Catholic Committee for Development and Against Poverty – France-CCFD
Purchase of material for the Rromani Baxt Centre, support of the activity of the kindergarten from 1994 to 2011.

3. Minority Rights Group International MRG – London
2 year project – RIPLE Mentoring project, training in the field of human rights, media, education, and management 2000-2002.
Training for Rroma women for recognition of the legislation of their rights, and also leadership provision – 2004.

4. Spolu Holland
Reimbursement of scholastic texts in the rate of 50% for families’ pupils with low rate of incomes, improvement of the Rromani Baxt Centre facilities in 2003.

5. Open Society Institute OSI – Budapest
Publication of the 2 language dictionary Rromani-Albanian Rromani, the first dictionary of this kind in Albania – 2002.

6.OSCE ODIHR Varshav
Public awareness campaigns for the democratic culture of Rroma minority for their participation in the 2003 -2009 parliamentary elections through the TV spots and publication of material on election legislation.

7. Soros – Albania
Publication of the audio/video product in Rromani language for public awareness of the Rroma community for the prevention of trafficking phenomena of children and young girls, urging for the education of the minority.

8. Cordaid – Nederland
Implementation of a 3 year education project in the fields of computer science, foreign languages, Rromani culture, health etc.

9. Terre des Hommes
Activities for the prevention of trafficking of children through Rromani Baxt Albania, where during summer period was set up the camping facility with children from Rroma and non Rroma communities from 2006 to 2009.

10. Embassy of Sweden – SIDA
The project involved waste management and recycling, licensed by the Albanian Ministry of Environment, for improving the environment Rroma community in the region of Korca for the period of 2006 to 2008 which also had for effect creating jobs for the Roma community.

11. ARSIS
Co-financing for summer camp activities in 2007 and 2008.

12. CoE Strasbourg
Trainings in the field of women rights, prevention of women trafficking and of children in the regions of Tirana, Korca and Fier in 2008.

13. Swiss Cooperation
Education project on prevention measure related to human trafficking in 2008 and 2009.

14. Roma Education Fund REF
Continuation of education activities through pre-elementary kindergarten, supplementary teaching, psychological services, urging to register the Rroma children in the civilian office, summer school in Tirana and Fier from 2009 to 2013.

15. CAAP
Project on the establishment of a social enterprise for recovery of funds to help children in need from 2008 to 2012.

16. World Bank
Project related to the increase of employment opportunities for Rroma women through vocational training, as an incentive towards gender equality and improvement of their rights at home and society “.

Financial support of the project “On the application of network protection children “(RRMF) through funds provided recovery of activity for collecting and processing recyclable waste 2008 – 2012

Educational project regarding equality of Rroma girls and women in their family and community in 2012- 2013.

21.UNDP
The importance of trafficking potential victims needs from sexual and economic abuse for an integration through professional training. 2012- 2013

22.OSCE
On the occasion of the International Day for the Rroma Community on April 8, 2013, few activities were supported by the EU.

23.Experiment Albania Association – Institutional Cooperation
From 2009 to2013, the Rromani BAxt Albania Center received 40 voluntaries.

24.Acli-Ipsia
Training courses werer subsidized on recycling management.
